Rural Emergency Medicine Fellowship
Are you looking to make a difference in rural communities? As a rural Emergency Medicine APP, you will be at the front line saving lives. This requires highly trained and skilled providers who desire an increased level of responsibility.
Critical Access Hospitals are in dire need of high quality APP's to provide emergency medical services. BlueWater offers a one year Rural Emergency Medicine Fellowship to help fill this need.
How Many Fellowship Positions are Open?
We offer one fellowship position per critical access hospital. Applications are accepted year round and acceptance depends on the need at each site.
How is the Rural Fellowship different than the Brunswick Fellowship?
Updon completion of the Rural Fellowship, the APPs transition to full time employment. The Rural Fellowship requires the same one year commitment but the clinical work is a little bit different. For the first six months the fellow will work side by side with our physicians in the critical access hospitals where they will learn how to practice emergency medicine in a rural setting. For the last six months, the fellow will be given increasing responsibility, autonomy, and will be paid as a full time APP.
